Joana Levi (Rio de Janeiro/BR) é performer, encenadora e dramaturgista. Reside em Lisboa desde 2017. É formada em Filosofia/USP e mestra em Estética/FCSH. Sua criação mais recente, "Rasante", estreou no Festival Alkantara 20’. Nos últimos anos tem se dedicado a projetos experimentais e colaborativos que forjam uma cena atravessada por diferentes linguagens (da performance ao teatro, da dança ao pensamento filosófico). Anteriormente, trabalhou com José Celso Martinez Correa/Teatro Oficina-SP, RobertoBacci/Fondazione Pontedera Teatro (IT), Cacá Carvalho/Casa Laboratório-SP, entre outros. Recentemente, colabora com Carlota Lagido, Sónia Baptista, Rita Natálio, Gustavo Ciríaco e Julia Salem.

Joana Levi (Rio de Janeiro/BR) is a performer, director and playwright. She has lived in Lisbon since 2017. She has a degree in Philosophy / USP and a master's degree in Aesthetics / FCSH. Her most recent creation, "Rasante", premiered at the Alkantara 20’ Festival. In recent years she has dedicated herself to experimental and collaborative projects that forge a scene crossed by different languages (from performance to theater, from dance to philosophical thought). Previously, she worked with José Celso Martinez Correa / Teatro Oficina-SP, RobertoBacci / Fondazione Pontedera Teatro (IT), Cacá Carvalho / Casa Laboratório-SP, among others. Recently, she collaborates with Carlota Lagido, Sónia Baptista, Rita Natálio, Gustavo Ciríaco  and Julia Salem.

Primárias e Exóticas é um projeto de criação performativa, contextual que propõe-se a fabular sobre a história das florestas em Portugal, como uma história a contrapelo da ocupação humana deste território. Por fabular, entende-se aqui entrar, cavar, subir no mato das palavras, emaranhando sentidos e visões, tecendo perspectivas e conversas entre línguas e mudas. A partir da recolha de experiências, estudos científicos e saberes populares pretende-se fabular sobre a memória ecológica das florestas que, enquanto comunidades milenares, “famílias” contemporâneas, conterrâneas, migrantes e ancestrais, habitam o território português e carregam uma outra perspectiva de sua história.

Primárias e Exóticas is a performative, contextual creation project that aims to tell stories about the history of forests in Portugal, as a counter-historical story to the human occupation of this territory. By fabulating, we mean entering, digging, climbing into the thicket of words, entangling meanings and visions, weaving perspectives and conversations between languages. From the collection of experiences, scientific studies and popular knowledge, she intends to create stories about the ecological memory of the forests that, as ancient communities, contemporary “families”, fellow countrymen, migrants and ancestors, inhabit the Portuguese territory and carry another perspective of their history.
