Construtor sonoro e cénico, atua na interseção de som, gesto, voz, palco e filme, operando elementos de pré-linguagem, dub, cristalização, percussão, allopoiesis, animismo e eco. Entre 2016 e 2018, apresentou instalações e exposições em Brest, Paris, Porto, Lisboa e Coimbra; criou peças cénicas para festivais no Porto, Lisboa e Faro.
É fundador da plataforma de arte SOOPA e cofundador da editora discográfica SILORUMOR. Dirigiu várias peças musicais e para voz, co-organizou o programa SONORES, para Guimarães 2012 — Capital Europeia de Cultura.
Dirige o ensemble HHY & The Macumbas e é cofundador da banda Fujako. Tocou, com diferentes formações ou a solo, nos festivais Sónar, Primavera Sound, Amplifest, Milhões de Festa, Neopop, Elevate, Nyege Nyege. Tem música editada na Ångström, Tzadik, Rotorelief, SiloRumor, iDEAL e Wordsound, e o filme/ensaio Máquina da Selva/Mundo de Cristal, editado pelo Museu de Serralves.
Sound and scenic builder, he works at the intersection of sound, gesture, voice, stage and film, operating elements of pre-language, dub, crystallization, percussion, allopoiesis, animism and echo.
Between 2016 and 2018, he presented installations and exhibitions in Brest, Paris, Porto, Lisbon and Coimbra; he created scenic pieces for festivals in Porto, Lisbon and Faro.
He is the founder of the SOOPA art platform and co-founder of the record label SILORUMOR. He directed several musical and voice pieces and co-organized the SONORES programme for Guimarães 2012 – European Capital of Culture.
He directs the ensemble HHY & The Macumbas and is a co-founder of the band Fujako. He played, with different line-ups or solo, at the festivals Sónar, Primavera Sound, Amplifest, Milhões de Festa, Neopop, Elevate and Nyege Nyege.
