No próximo dia 4 de abril, terça-feira, às 18h30, Linha de Fuga acolhe em Coimbra o lançamento do número #8 do jornal Coreia. A iniciativa inclui uma sessão de escuta/conferência pelo artista e compositor João Polido, intitulada Sombra de Vento, e terá lugar no Salão Brazil. A entrada é livre.
Linha de Fuga continua a sua ligação a este importante projecto dirigido por João dos Santos Martins, dedicado a escritos de artista e a propósito das artes em geral, com uma relação umbilical com a dança. A edição #7 foi apresentada em setembro de 2022, no Atelier A Fábrica.
O número #8 é uma edição especial que dedica um caderno aos escritos de Gil Mendo, figura ímpar na cena da dança contemporânea em Portugal que nos deixou em 2022. O número inclui ainda contribuições de Ahn Vo, Ana Rita Teodoro & Valérie Castan, Chloe Chignell, Davi Pontes, Diana Niepce, Estelle Nabeyrat, Gil Mendo, Guilherme Valente, Inês Zinho Pinheiro, João Polido, Myriam Goufrink & Wilson Le Personnic, Pope.L, Rogério Nuno Costa, setareh fatehi, Silvia Federici e Tiago Amate.
O lançamento do jornal será acompanhado por uma sessão de escuta/conferência pelo artista e compositor João Polido, intitulada Sombra de Vento, que é fonte do seu texto contributo para esta edição do Coreia, e que indaga sobre questões de tradição, identidade nacional, memória e a criação de mundos via práticas culturais.
Durante a sessão, João Polido propõe escutarmos excertos sonoros e referências musicais evocadas pelos filmes Trás-os-Montes (1976) e Rosa de Areia (1986) de Margarida Cordeiro e António Reis, em paralelo com o projecto etnomusicológico de Michel Giacometti nos anos 1960 e 70 e as variações musicais (harmonizações) de Fernando Lopes-Graça sobre música tradicional.
Coreia é um projecto editorial de carácter artístico, crítico e discursivo, a propósito das artes em geral, firmado numa relação umbilical com a dança, preocupado em divulgar formatos vários como partituras, manifestos, entrevistas, crónicas, ensaios, críticas e reflexões em língua portuguesa. O jornal tem uma tiragem semestral de 3000 exemplares com distribuição gratuita por todo o país.

On the 4th of April, Tuesday, at 6.30 pm, Linha de Fuga will host the launch of issue #8 of the newspaper Coreia in Coimbra. The initiative includes a listening session/conference by the artist and composer João Polido, entitled Hint of Wind, and will take place at Salão Brazil. Entry is free.
It is the second time that Linha de Fuga is associated with this important project directed by João dos Santos Martins, dedicated to artist writings and the arts in general, with an umbilical relationship with dance. Issue #7 was presented in September 2022, at Atelier A Fábrica.
Issue #8 is a special edition that dedicates a notebook to the writings of Gil Mendo, a unique figure in the contemporary dance scene in Portugal who left us in 2022. The number also includes contributions from Ahn Vo, Ana Rita Teodoro & Valérie Castan, Chloe Chignell, Davi Pontes, Diana Niepce, Estelle Nabeyrat, Gil Mendo, Guilherme Valente, Inês Zinho Pinheiro, João Polido, Myriam Goufrink & Wilson Le Personnic, Pope.L , Rogério Nuno Costa, setareh fatehi, Silvia Federici and Tiago Amate.
The launch of the newspaper will be accompanied by a listening session/conference by the artist and composer João Polido, entitled Hint of Wind, which is the source of his contribution text for this edition of Coreia, and which inquires about issues of tradition, national identity, memory and the creation of worlds through cultural practices.
During the session, João Polido proposes that we listen to sound excerpts and musical references evoked by the films Trás-os-Montes (1976) and Rosa de Areia (1986) by Margarida Cordeiro and António Reis, in parallel with the ethnomusicological project of Michel Giacometti in the 1960s and 70s and the musical variations (harmonizations) of Fernando Lopes-Graça on traditional music.
Coreia is an editorial project of an artistic, critical and discursive nature, about the arts in general, established in an umbilical relationship with dance, concerned with disseminating various formats such as scores, manifestos, interviews, chronicles, essays, criticisms and reflections in Portuguese. The newspaper has a half-yearly circulation of 3000 copies with free distribution throughout the country.
