Ana Trincão is a PhD student in Cultural Studies and has a Master's degree in Dance, Solo and Authorship, from the University of Arts in Berlin; and a degree in Visual Arts from the Higher School of Arts and Design of Caldas da Rainha. She was a DanceWeb fellow and a guest artist on “Pointe to Point”. She was a resident at “4 AIR Ibero-American” in Mexico. She is a member of the artist collective “Interferências”. She was part of the Sowing Seeds project in India.

A research into ancestry and collective memory based on a personal and unpublished archive, made up of photographs, videos and audio collected at the rehearsals of a batuque group in Santiago. Here we look at a context in which the value of art, ritual, healing and the social coexist in an intrinsic and interdependent way.
