Artista, pesquisador e professor. Doutorando em Artes Visuais na USP com intercâmbio na UNAM (México), é Mestre em Artes da Cena pela UFRJ e graduado em Letras pela UFPE. Foi artista-bolsista do Programa de Formação e Deformação da EAV – Parque Lage (2018). Pesquisa principalmente inter-relações entre arte da performance e mobilidade urbana, compondo ações, instalações, crónicas, relatos e exposições orais. Publicou três livros: “Por uma mobilidade performativa” (2017), “Mobilidade [inter]urbana-performativa” (2019) e “24, vi-vos” (2020). Em 2018, foi contemplado com os prémios Rumos Itaú Cultural e EDP nas Artes do Instituto Tomie Ohtake. Realizou exposições individuais e participou de coletivas e festivais nacionais e internacionais. Residências incluem Casa do Sereio (2023), Projeto Pantanal Agora (2020), FAAP (2020) e R.A.R.O. (2019). Como educador, atuou em cursos e oficinas no SESC São Paulo e Museu de Arte do Rio, e concebeu o Educativo da exposição “Arquiteturas do Cotidiano” – XII Bienal Internacional de Arquitetura de São Paulo (2019).

Artist, researcher, and lecturer. PhD student in Visual Arts at USP with an exchange period at UNAM (Mexico), he holds a Master’s degree in Performing Arts from UFRJ and a BA in Literature from UFPE. He was a scholarship artist at the EAV – Parque Lage Training and Deformation Programme (2018). His research mainly explores interrelations between performance art and urban mobility, composing actions, installations, chronicles, accounts, and oral exhibitions. He has published three books: For a Performative Mobility (2017), [Inter]Urban-Performative Mobility (2019), and 24, I Saw You (2020). In 2018, he received the Rumos Itaú Cultural Award and the EDP in the Arts Award from Instituto Tomie Ohtake. He has held solo exhibitions and participated in group shows and festivals both nationally and internationally. Residencies include Casa do Sereio (2023), Projeto Pantanal Agora (2020), FAAP (2020), and R.A.R.O. (2019). As an educator, he has taught courses and workshops at SESC São Paulo and the Rio Art Museum, and conceived the Educational Programme of the exhibition Architectures of the Everyday – XII International Architecture Biennale of São Paulo (2019).

Por meio de errâncias, encontros com brasileiros migrantes e diálogos com participantes do festival, contrapor a ilusão das convenções cartográficas às concretudes das (im)permanências, distâncias e violências que perpassam os vínculos intercontinentais.

Este projeto desenvolve-se em três linhas de ação:

1. Paralelas: pesquisa de histórias de amizade entre pessoas de Portugal e do Brasil. Por meio de encontros fortuitos, pretende estabelecer conversas que entrelaçam histórias, posicionando o seu corpo como canal de escuta e escrita para unir pessoas coma  vontade de estimular a imaginação afetiva, brincando com as linhas paralelas que separam os países, mas podem ser imaginadas, demarcadas ou encurtadas.

2. Perpendiculares: desenvolver encontros em espaços públicos, mediados por 3 tópicos: primeiras amizades; maiores inimizades; e criar um programa de ação pós o festival.

3. Transversais: Estabelecer um cronograma de registros pós o festival, nas cidades de residência, prolongando a "aliança temporária" formada no laboratório e gerando imagens e textos de registro.

Esta proposta busca conectar o artista integralmente com uma rede de criadores em "aliança temporária", explorando as políticas da amizade diante do medo e do distanciamento global, experimentando práticas de dez anos de encontros com transeuntes, memória urbana e oral, e escrita de crónicas multivocais, gerando o que chama de "intimidades ligeiras", refletidas na profundidade das conversas e confissões que surgem entre pessoas desconhecidas.

Through wanderings, encounters with Brazilian migrants, and dialogues with festival participants, the project aims to counter the illusion of cartographic conventions with the concreteness of (im)permanence, distances, and violences that traverse intercontinental bonds.

This project unfolds in three lines of action:

1. Parallels: research into stories of friendship between people from Portugal and Brazil. Through chance encounters, it seeks to establish conversations that interweave stories, positioning his body as a channel for listening and writing to bring people together with the intention of stimulating affective imagination, playing with the parallel lines that separate the countries but can be imagined, drawn, or shortened.
2. Perpendiculars: to develop encounters in public spaces, mediated by three topics: first friendships; greatest enmities; and the creation of an action programme after the festival.
3. Transversals: to establish a schedule of records after the festival, in the cities of residence, extending the “temporary alliance” formed in the laboratory and generating images and written documentation.
This proposal seeks to connect the artist integrally with a network of creators in a “temporary alliance”, exploring the politics of friendship in the face of fear and global distancing, drawing on ten years of practices with encounters with passers-by, urban and oral memory, and multivocal chronicles, generating what he calls “slight intimacies”, reflected in the depth of the conversations and confessions that emerge between strangers.
