Manifesto do Sonho (“Dream Manifest”)

Manifesto do Sonho (“Dream Manifest”) is a dance action in dialogue with the visual arts, a crossover where Wellington has been researching the idea of the amazement. Aware that we incarnate and feel in our bodies the paralysis that the amazement has been causing, the research starts with some questions: as a black guy from the favela (slum) and a nordestino (from the north-east of Brazil): where to go now? where doesn't the amazement come in? How to foresee, imagine and breathe, given the current situation in Brazil and in the world? What are the compositional devices that strengthen the dimension of care in myself and in others?

The idea is to put oneself in transit, in the direct relationship of the body with some materialities and powerful plants, in the construction and articulation of images, movement matrixes, and writing. To build a prayer-dance, given that, in a Brazil of the Amazement, to create escape by announcing a Dream Manifest is to look after the only health one can have.
