Bosque/ Woods é um apelo artístico à consciência ambiental. Uma pesquisa da artista brasileira Clarice Lima junto com Catarina Saraiva, Nina Fajdiga e Aline Bonamin que reúne dança, performance e artes visuais para criar paisagens únicas e fortes nas cidades, perseguindo a ideia da impermanência e instabilidade do corpo, da natureza, do clima e das práticas coletivas. Ao estar de cabeça para baixo, o corpo inverte o espaço e questiona o tempo. Por quanto tempo pode o corpo resistir? Até quando resiste a floresta?
A pesquisa é a terceira parte da trilogia Plantação/Plantation e vai além da ideia de criar uma paisagem na cidade enquanto se potencializam práticas coletivas. A performance indaga sobre outras formas possíveis de um corpo resistir, persistir, realizar potencialidades contra o cimento da cidade, a falta da natureza, as mudanças climáticas, as árvores desaparecidas e os bosques esquecidos.
A duração desta performance colaborativa irá variar de acordo com a capacidade de cada participante em estar de cabeça para baixo. A luta dos corpos para permanecer nessa posição chama a atenção para a luta que a própria natureza enfrenta. Eventualmente, e em momentos diferentes, cada corpo-árvore cai no chão, onde permanecem até à queda do último performer.
Os conceitos de empatia e solidariedade conduzem a dramaturgia: ninguém sai até que o último resista, não deixamos ninguém para trás, apoiamo-nos. Assim, chamamos a atenção para a importância e a força do coletivo e a possibilidade de diversidade dentro dele, da mesma forma que a natureza poderia resistir na sua biodiversidade.
Bosque/Woods propõe olhar para essas questões de uma forma muito poética, forte, ambiciosa e coletiva. Dentro desta floresta nós-natureza queremos resistir enquanto pudermos, juntos, como um.

Bosque/ Woods is an artistic call for environmental awareness. A research from the Brazilian artist Clarice Lima together with Catarina Saraiva, Nina Fajdiga and Aline Bonamin that brings together dance, live performance and visual arts to create unique and powerful landscapes in the cities, pursuing the idea of impermanence and instability of the body, nature, climate and collective practices. While upside down, the body inverts space and questions time. For how long can the body resist? For how long can the forest resist?
The research is the third part of the Plantação/ Plantation trilogy and goes beyond the idea of creating a landscape in the city while potentiating collective practices. The performance inquires about other possible ways for a body to resist, to persist, to carry through potentialities against the city concrete, the lack of nature, the climate changes, the missing trees and the forgotten woods.
The duration of this collaborative performance will vary according to the ability of each participant to endure the head standing. The bodies’ struggle to remain upside down calls attention to the struggle that nature itself faces. Eventually, and at different times, each body-tree falls to the ground, one by one, where they remain until the last performer falls.
The concepts of empathy and solidarity lead the dramaturgy: no one leaves until the last one resists, we don't leave anyone behind, we support each other. Thus, we call attention to the importance and strength of the collective and the possibility of diversity within it, in the same way that nature could resist in it's biodiversity.
Bosque/ Woods is a proposal to look at these issues in a very poetic, powerful, ambitious and collective way. Within this Woods we-nature want to resist as long as we can, together, as one.

Perform Europe is an EU-funded project aimed to rethink how performing arts works are presented across borders in a more inclusive, sustainable and balanced way by testing new touring and distribution practices and providing policy recommendations for a future EU support scheme. This 18-month journey includes a research phase, launching a digital platform, testing a support scheme, and designing policy recommendations.
