Em L’Après-midi D’une Faune, Machado investiga com Tiukkanen a feminilidade butch que estaria no seu corpo, interpretado apenas como uma manifestação masculina. Perdem-se neste labirinto coreográfico e íntimo onde procurar o feminino é também entender a intangibilidade de o definir.
Esta dança acontece quando Mandi empresta o seu corpo para materializar a subjetividade trans-feminina de Machado e Machado, por sua vez, constrói um espaço à volta do corpo de Mandi de uma feminilidade poucas vezes imaginadas ou materializadas em espaços de dança contemporânea.
L'Après-midi D'une Faune é sobre uma feminilidade que ultrapassa os corpos individuais, é sobre uma experiência coletiva de género, na forma como nos tornamos o lugar onde outros podem acontecer como se imaginam a si mesmas. A música de Godill acompanha esta fauna que sonha acordada. L’Après-midi D’une Faune trata também de ocupar o espaço dessa tarde bucólica na direção da sua subjetividade, deriva, auto-sexualidade e autonomia. É a ocupação de “um quarto só para si”.
In L’Après-midi d’une Faune, Machado investigates with Tiukkanen around a butch femininity that would be in their body, read only as a male manifestation. They get lost in this choreographic and intimate labyrinth, where looking for the feminine is also realizing the intangibility of defining it. This dance takes place where Mandi lends her body to materialize Machado's trans-feminine subjectivity, and Machado, in return, builds a space around Mandi's body of a feminine rarely imagined or materialized in the sphere of contemporary dance. L'Après-midi d'une Faune is about a femininity that exceeds individual bodies, about a collective and social gender experience that happens between bodies and in the places where they cross and meet, in the way they question and potentiate each other mutually. About how we can become the place where others can happen closer to how they imagine themselves. Godill's music accompanies this faune while she daydreams. L’Après-midi d’une Faune is also about taking the space of this bucolic afternoon for her subjectivity, its drift, self-sexuality, and autonomy. It is the occupation of “a room of one’s own”.
