Sepideh Khodarahmi é uma artista iraniana-sueca que trabalha na dança e no teatro, explorando as tensões entre prazer e repulsa, construção e destruição. Combinando movimento inspirado na dança clubbing e drag hipergénero, Khodarahmi cria performances viscerais que exploram a auto-objetificação, as dinâmicas de poder e o absurdo. Khodarahmi é licenciada em Interpretação pela Academia de Música e Drama de Gotemburgo e estudou no Departamento de Matemática da Universidade de Estocolmo, no Broadway Dance Center, na Escola de Mímica da Academia de Teatro e Dança de Amesterdão e no PACAP 8, em Lisboa. Ao longo da sua carreira, colaborou com artistas como Hooman Sharifi, Marina Abramović e Meg Stuart, tendo apresentado o seu trabalho em espaços como a Sophiensaele (Berlim), o Teatro Nacional Real de Estocolmo, o Teatro Nacional D. Maria II (Lisboa), e o Kiasma – Museu de Arte Contemporânea (Helsínquia).
Sepideh Khodarahmi is an Iranian-Swedish artist working in dance and theatre, exploring the tensions between pleasure and repulsion, construction and destruction. Combining movement inspired by clubbing dance and hyper-gender drag, Khodarahmi creates visceral performances that investigate self-objectification, power dynamics and the absurd.
Khodarahmi holds a BA in Acting from the Academy of Music and Drama in Gothenburg and studied at the Department of Mathematics at Stockholm University, the Broadway Dance Center, the Mime School of the Academy of Theatre and Dance in Amsterdam, and PACAP 8 in Lisbon. Throughout her career, she has collaborated with artists such as Hooman Sharifi, Marina Abramović and Meg Stuart, and has presented her work at venues including Sophiensaele (Berlin), the Royal Dramatic Theatre in Stockholm, Teatro Nacional D. Maria II (Lisbon), and Kiasma – Museum of Contemporary Art (Helsinki).
