Between the 18th and the 20th of July, Linha de Fuga will host the GyroVagus project by Teatro do Frio, where Coimbra will be one of the places of passage along Expedition 1, a journey made up of 7 stages.

‍Expedition 1 (2023) - Nomadic laboratories for audio and audiovisual collection between Viana do Castelo and Coimbra, carried out by Rodrigo Malvar (sound engineer and performer) and Gonçalo Mota (anthropologist and video artist) using electric bicycles. In them, strategies and methodologies for approaching the landscape are updated, incursions into the territories of psychogeography, developed by Teatro do Frio since 2017. These gestures seek the encounter with the territories, paying attention to the natural landscape, topographic and architectural heritage . The sound and image collection of the meetings will result in “TOUR”, concert - performance with video projection, with premiere on July 28, 2023 at Desnortearte, and the film “expeDIçÕeS”, with premiere in May 2024.

Gyro Vagus activates an informal network of partners, articulating mostly peripheral territories with the urban centers of Viana do Castelo, Porto and Coimbra and uses the electric bicycle as a means of transport with a reduced footprint, with a view to minimizing the impact on ecosystems and creating informal collaboration networks, circulation and communication.
