«Feminismos e Resistências» foi o tema da primeira sessão de «Conversas com a Academia», com a participação de Aixa Figini, Catarina Vieira e Josefa Pereira (artistas em residência), Linda Cerdeira e Tatiana Moura (investigadoras do Centro de Estudos Sociais da Universidade de Coimbra).
Desde a Rádio Baixa, no final de tarde de 30 de junho, para lançar a «Conversa», usámos uma frase de Audre Lorde, escritora caribenha-americana, feminista e ativista dos direitos civis, que inspira o trabalho de Catarina Vieira. «Your silence will not protect you» foi o mote para falar de opressão numa sociedade ainda definida pelo poder patriarcal. E perguntámos: porque continuamos a debater esta questão em pleno século XXI? Ainda precisamos de feminismos?
Numa conversa sobre vozes silenciadas, uma mulher pediu para participar e lançou a provocação da necessidade de telepatia... Os muitos casos de que se pode falar, e que são de perto e de longe, visíveis e ocultos, mostram o quanto as variáveis introduzidas por diferentes contextos sociais e políticos, alteram a condição das mulheres. Para quem não assistir, a resposta: ainda é necessário, definitivamente, ser feminista neste mundo.

"Your silence will not protect you" was the motto to speak of oppression in a society still defined by patriarchal power. And we asked: why do we continue to debate this issue in the 21st century? Do we still need feminisms? In a conversation about muted voices, a woman asked to participate and launched the provocation of the need for telepathy... The many cases one can talk about, which are near and far, visible and hidden, show how much the variables introduced by different social and political contexts change the condition of women.
