Michela Depetris vem pela segunda vez a Coimbra. A primeira foi em 2020, em plena pandemia. Foi uma das artistas selecionadas para participar no Laboratório Linha de Fuga, numa altura em que foi possível mudar todo um festival e laboratório de Julho para Setembro, foi presencial e tudo se fez sem que ninguém apanhasse Covid! O cuidado foi grande nesse momento e o grupo de artistas foi um grupo resistente e ativo.
Desta vez volta, 6 anos depois e certamente terá muito que contar. Vamos estar em conversa com ela, num ambiente descontraído onde Depetris abre as suas práticas profissionais e pessoais para falar do que a levou a ser artista e o que é relevante para ela no mundo e na arte.

Michela Depetris is coming to Coimbra for the second time. The first was in 2020, in the thick of the pandemic. She was one of the artists selected to take part in the Linha de Fuga Laboratory — at a time when it was possible to shift an entire festival and laboratory from July to September, hold it in person, and get through the whole thing without anyone catching Covid. There was a great deal of care taken at that moment, and the group of artists proved to be a resilient and engaged one.
This time she returns six years later, and will certainly have much to share. We will be in conversation with her in a relaxed setting, where Depetris opens up her professional and personal practice to talk about what led her to become an artist and what feels relevant to her in the world and in art.
What Makes Me an Artist is a series of conversations developed by Linha de Fuga, in which we speak with artists about their journey, with the aim of humanising artistic creation and shedding light on all the work, doubts and questions an artist faces in the act of making.
