No dia 30 de Março, pelas 21h, Los 3 Cerditos abrem as portas do seu local de trabalho e convidam a população a assistir a um ensaio aberto da peça Omegaville, num intrincado jogo entre cinema, teatro de objectos e performance que terminará num encontro-convívio com as criadoras.
Linha de Fuga acolhe em residência o coletivo espanhol Los 3 Cerditos, num projeto de investigação artística intitulado Omegaville.
As artistas estarão a trabalhar na criação de pequenos universos distópicos a partir de elementos da natureza e de despojos. Utilizarão o pré-cinema, as sombras chinesas, os cantos populares, a história oral, câmeras, desenhos, cabos, fantasias, motores, os seus corpos em movimento, ciborgues, sexuados ou assexuados, os feedbacks.
O ponto de partida deste projeto são as perguntas: Como representar a crise económica ou ecológica? A solidão e a desesperança? O medo e o individualismo? Explorando a ficção científica ou, o que é o mesmo: explorar o presente. E como só conhecessemos o passado, é o que temos para tentar compreender onde estamos.
No Antropoceno, era pós-humanista, somos ciborgues fluídos num mundo onde a tecnologia redefine o nosso corpo e memória. O mar transformou-se em plasticosfera, invadindo os nossos pensamentos. Em trânsito entre o rural, urbano e virtual, vivemos no pós-capitalismo, replicando incessantemente os mesmos sistemas. Alienados, somos produtores e consumidores de dados, num fluxo infinito. Consumimos para sermos controlados. Envoltos em resíduos tecnológicos, enfrentamos violências e ameaças ambientais. No aceleracionismo, vivemos ao ritmo dos bits em corpos máquina. Mesmo no meio rural onde não há passeios, apenas estradas.
Nesta primeira etapa de trabalho que desenvolverão em duas aldeias perto de Coimbra, experimentarão trabalhar de forma coletiva, integrando a Banda Filarmónica de Penela e a comunidade de Vila Seca e Bruscos. Trata-se de assumir a vastidão do empobrecimento do território, das línguas silenciadas, da precarização, da solidão, do medo, da violência, em última análise, da tristeza.
Mas fazê-lo coletivamente é, ao mesmo tempo, permitir que a potência dos afetos, do comunitário, do popular, do lugar onde ainda se guardam possibilidades, conexões e talvez a oportunidade de celebrar com alegria o estar juntas, se manifeste.
On March 30th, at 5pm, Los 3 Cerditos open the doors of their workplace and invite the public to watch an open rehearsal of the play Omegaville, in an intricate game between cinema, object theater and performance that will end in a meeting- interaction with the creators.
Linha de Fuga hosts the Spanish collective Los 3 Cerditos in residence, in an artistic research project entitled Omegaville.
The artists will be working on creating small dystopian universes using elements of nature and waste. They will use pre-cinema, Chinese shadows, popular songs, oral history, cameras, drawings, cables, costumes, engines, their bodies in movement, cyborgs, sexual or asexual, feedback.
The starting point of this project are the questions: How to represent the economic or ecological crisis? Loneliness and hopelessness? Fear and individualism? Exploring science fiction or, what is the same: exploring the present. And since we only know the past, that's all we have to try to understand where we are.
In the Anthropocene, post-humanist era, we are fluid cyborgs in a world where technology redefines our body and memory. The sea became a plasticosphere, invading our thoughts. In transit between rural, urban and virtual, we live in post-capitalism, incessantly replicating the same systems. Alienated, we are producers and consumers of data, in an infinite flow. We consume to be controlled. Shrouded in technological waste, we face violence and environmental threats. In accelerationism, we live at the rhythm of bits in machine bodies. Even in rural areas where there are no sidewalks, just roads.
In this first stage of work that they will carry out in two villages near Coimbra, they will experience working collectively, integrating the Penela Philharmonic Band and the community of Vila Seca and Bruscos. It is about assuming the vastness of the impoverished territory, silenced languages, precariousness, loneliness, fear, violence, ultimately, sadness.
But doing it collectively is, at the same time, allowing the power of affection, of the community, of the popular, of the place where possibilities, connections and perhaps the opportunity to celebrate being together with joy, to manifest itself.
