A residência de Junho traz a Coimbra A Bela Associação, uma estrutura artística sediada em Almada que proporciona atividades que misturam gerações de pessoas criativas com vontade de ação social, construindo projetos e materializando ideias em prol de uma sociedade mais diversa e justa em harmonia com a Natureza.
A Coimbra trazem o projeto Periféricas no qual trabalharão e cujo final de residência será apresentado no âmbito do festival rural "Há Festas nas Aldeias".
Ana (Portugal), Mariana (Portugal) e Márcio (Brasil) — três performers e coreógrafos com percursos que atravessam as artes visuais, dança e design, mas também faxinas, bares, discotecas, transportes intermináveis e contratos precários. Entre ensaios, cafés, traduções e limpezas, sustentam a invisibilidade que mantém a vida quotidiana e as estruturas artísticas a funcionar.
Periféricas é mais do que uma peça, é um processo contínuo, um ensaio sobre a precariedade, o cuidado e a sobrevivência. Habita cozinhas, transportes, supermercados e salas de ensaio: espaços onde subsistência e criação se cruzam. Expondo os limites da vida artística e social, revela a tensão entre centro e margem, visibilidade e invisibilidade, desumanização e desejo de equidade.
É um ato coletivo que transforma rotinas de sobrevivência em gesto artístico, denunciando a insustentabilidade sistémica e propondo um mapa possível de justiça, consciência e pertença entre o humano, o mais-que-humano e o não-humano.
June’s residency welcomes A Bela Associação to Coimbra, an arts organisation based in Almada that develops activities bringing together creative people of different generations who share a commitment to social action. Through collaborative projects and the realisation of collective ideas, the association works towards a more diverse and equitable society in harmony with nature.
They come to Coimbra with Periféricas, the project they will be developing during the residency and which will be presented at the end of the residency period as part of the rural festival Há Festas nas Aldeias.
Ana (Portugal), Mariana (Portugal) and Márcio (Brazil) are three performers and choreographers whose trajectories span visual arts, dance and design, but also cleaning jobs, bars, nightclubs, endless commutes and precarious contracts. Between rehearsals, coffee breaks, translations and cleaning shifts, they sustain the often invisible labour that keeps everyday life and artistic structures functioning.
Periféricas is more than a performance; it is an ongoing process, a rehearsal for precarity, care and survival. It inhabits kitchens, public transport, supermarkets and rehearsal rooms — spaces where subsistence and creation intersect. By exposing the limits of artistic and social life, it reveals the tensions between centre and periphery, visibility and invisibility, dehumanisation and the desire for equity.
A collective act, Periféricas transforms routines of survival into artistic gesture, denouncing systemic unsustainability while proposing a possible map of justice, awareness and belonging among the human, the more-than-human and the non-human.
